Hiring a
CREATIVE PRODUCER
BKGD Creative | Spokane, WA | Hybrid | Full-time or 30 hrs/week
BKGD Creative (the design studio within Power Marketing) is looking for a Creative Producer who can connect clients, creative teams, and agency leadership. This person is part relationship builder, part creative thinker, and part operator, with a strong eye for design and the judgment to know when work is ready and when it needs another round.
Creative Producer
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Creative Producer will own the daily movement of assigned accounts and projects, keep systems in place, and manage creative project billing. They will work directly with clients while partnering closely with designers and creatives to make sure the work is on brief, on brand, and on time.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Project Management: Run projects from kickoff to final delivery, including timelines, resources, deliverables, approvals, and budgets. Translating client requests into clear and actionable briefs and direction for internal teams.
• Quality Control: Act as the internal review layer before work reaches senior creative leadership or the client. Review work for accuracy, brand consistency, creative quality, hierarchy, messaging, and alignment with the brief. Spot when something feels off and explain why.
• Feedback Management: Consolidate and translate client feedback into clear direction for creative teams.
• Scope Management: Feel empowered and comfortable flagging when requests move outside the original scope, or need additional budget or timeline, and have those discussions directly with clients before the team moves forward.
• Resource & Capacity Planning: Help identify when designers are overloaded, priorities are competing, or timelines need to shift, before things become a fire drill.
• Process Improvement: Help improve the agency’s creative production processes and standards over time.Keep onboarding, project, and billing processes in place and consistently.
• Billing & Budget Management: Manage monthly billing for creative projects.
Who We’re Looking For
Someone with agency or creative production experience who is comfortable in the room with a client and in the room with a creative team. You are organized enough to keep complex work moving, but you are not just checking boxes on a project plan. You understand what makes creative work effective, you have strong attention to detail, and you are not afraid to speak up when something is not ready.
Most importantly, you are someone the creative team trusts, clients enjoy working with, and senior leadership can rely on to make sure the work reaching them has already been thoughtfully reviewed.
Why This Role Matters
This person becomes a quality gate, not just a project manager. Creating this layer means our senior creative leaders can spend more time elevating the work, growing client relationships, and building the business, rather than catching issues that should have been caught earlier.
Qualifications
• Strong project management skills, with demonstrated experience managing timelines, priorities, resources, budgets, approvals, and deliverables from kickoff through completion.
• Strong creative judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to review work for brand consistency, messaging, hierarchy, accuracy, and alignment with the creative brief.
• Excellent client communication skills, including the ability to understand client needs, manage expectations, and translate feedback into clear, actionable direction for creative teams.
• Experience partnering with designers and creative professionals, with an understanding of creative workflows and how to balance deadlines, workloads, and quality.
• Ability to identify and address issues proactively, including scope creep, resource constraints, competing priorities, quality concerns, and other project risks.
• Highly organized and accountable, with the confidence to make decisions, provide constructive feedback, and speak up when work is not ready for client or senior leadership review.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to communicate orally. Hearing and vision within normal ranges, with or without an assisted hearing device.
• No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force may be required.
• The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer and phone are normal.
Benefits
• Dental, health, and vision insurance
• Flexible schedule
• Paid time off
• Fun office environment
