Director, Growth & Sales

Summary of the Role
The Director of Growth and Sales will be the driving force behind our agency’s client acquisition efforts, owning the full business development cycle from lead-generation to deal close. This role is built for a natural closer – someone who thrives on turning opportunities into wins and relationships into revenue. You’ll have the freedom to design and refine systems that make success repeatable, building a steady pipeline of qualified prospects and high-value partnerships that further our growth and team.
Working closely with agency leadership, this role will help with shaping the stories and strategies that win new business, from crafting compelling sales strategies to uncovering untapped opportunities across the markets we serve. This is a role for someone motivated by both the thrill of the chase and the satisfaction of building long-term and meaningful partnerships. Total compensation for this role would include base + commission

Core Responsibilities
Sales Pipeline Development
• Build and manage systems to consistently generate and nurture leads using methods like outreach, networking, and lead generation tools.
• Identify and qualify potential clients in the agency’s target markets and prioritized industries.
• Implement CRM processes and automation for lead tracking and follow-ups.
• Work with leadership team to develop repeatable and predictive business development and sales processes including activity, funnel metrics, conversion ratios, and pricing models.
Storytelling & Pitch Development
• Work with leadership team to craft a compelling brand narrative and sales presentation that clearly communicates the agency’s unique value and services.
• Continuously refine presentation materials based on client feedback and market trends.
• Support leadership with sales assets for client meetings, conferences, and proposals.
Growth Strategy & Trends
• Research market trends, competitor strategies, and new platforms to uncover opportunities.
• Suggest and test new client acquisition strategies – including outbound campaigns, attending conferences, attending networking events, and white label partnerships.
• Work with the leadership team to align growth campaigns with the agency’s services, skillset, and areas with immediate capacity.
• Engage potential clients through calls, emails, social media, events and industry networking.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that enhance Power Marketing’s reach, service, and brand visibility.
Collaboration & Leadership
• Present strategic growth ideas to the team.
• Collaborate with media buying and digital team members to ensure offers and campaigns align with service capabilities.
• Share regular growth insights, goals, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Primary Goals
• Generate revenue from new client partners.
• Build the structure for a predictable sales pipeline.
• Aligning new business and growth initiatives.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, business development, or sales in an agency or marketing environment
• Strong strategic thinking, communication, and storytelling skills
• Proven and quantifiable record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Creative and proactive – brings fresh ideas, not just executes tasks
• Familiar with CRM tools, outreach strategies, and digital and traditional marketing basics
• Entrepreneurial mindset – comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
• Team player
Reporting Structure
• Reports directly to CEO
• Works closely with Director level team members

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to communicate orally. Hearing and vision within normal ranges with or without an assisted hearing device.
• No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force may be required.
• Some travel is required.
